We are seeking a Contract Marketing Technology Analyst to support high-impact Marketing Technology implementations and ongoing omni-channel digital marketing optimization efforts for our clients. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring engaging digital customer experiences to life and should excel at breaking down complex processes and methodologies into clear, accessible insights for both clients and internal teams. Experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer is strongly preferred.
This role requires a solid grasp of industry trends, campaign management best practices, and marketing technologies. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-driven. Adaptable, tech-savvy, and data-focused, the Marketing Technology Analyst should embrace continuous learning and demonstrate a commitment to applying their expertise to support the unique needs of each client.
This is a part-time, ~30 hours/week, 8-week contract engagement, starting immediately. Availability during core business hours (US Central/Eastern time zones) is required.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead discovery efforts: gather essential information from clients and internal stakeholders to document business needs and solution requirements for digital marketing campaigns
- Build an in-depth understanding of each client’s business and data capabilities to optimize campaign targeting and execution, aligning with their marketing objectives
- Create, maintain, and share comprehensive solution documentation and detailed campaign plans for seamless execution
- Provide expert consultation to engineering and development teams on solution requirements throughout Marketing Technology platform implementations and individual campaign builds
- Oversee quality assurance and testing processes for platform configurations and campaigns, ensuring solutions align with client business needs, including audience targeting, data flows, dynamic content, and touchpoint rendering
- Initiate and manage platform and campaign change controls, coordinating with stakeholders on requirements gathering, documentation, development, and testing to ensure successful implementation
- Work closely with project management to handle workflows and deadlines for multiple platform-related projects and change controls
- Serve as the primary Marketing Technology contact for internal and client teams, addressing platform-related requests and providing subject matter expertise on each client’s unique platform capabilities and limitations
- Support senior team members in Marketing Technology discovery and roadmapping efforts
- Assist the Campaign Operations team for ongoing campaign development
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a marketing-related role working with campaign management tools for omni-channel marketing development and execution
- 2+ years of experience in a client-facing role
- Experience at a digital-first agency or consultancy strongly preferred, with a solid understanding of agency structures and agile project management methodologies
- Experience with cross-channel campaign management platforms such as Adobe Campaign, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and/or Braze; familiarity with Adobe Journey Optimizer a strong plus
- Experience in digital marketing strategies, testing, and deployment, including campaign types like email, text, and push notifications
- Strong knowledge of campaign execution processes, audience segmentation, industry best practices, legal compliance, and downstream analysis
- Skilled in documenting complex campaign requirements for stakeholders
- Experience with Quality Assurance, including defining test plans, reviewing platform configurations, and verifying data flows and campaign touchpoints
- Basic understanding of marketing databases, data management/cleansing, ETLs/APIs, and identity management
- Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, XML, and/or HTML a plus, with the ability to interpret code from Marketing Technology platforms
- Certifications in Adobe Campaign, Adobe Journey Optimizer, and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud a plus
- A fast learner; proven success picking up new technologies/tools quickly and proficiently
- Skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; flexible and readily adaptable to changing circumstances
- A keen attention to detail and accuracy; exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Self-driven; the ability to work independently, define a way forward, and solve problems with limited direction; proven capacity to drive results in an evolving environment
- Strong communicator with all levels of leadership, management, and staff to achieve desired outcomes and build strong alliances and relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Digitally-savvy and well-informed on digital innovations, trends, and technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, technology, or equivalent work experience
