OverviewABOUT THE TEAM
The Associate Director role will report into the Director position and will be a part of the Digital Strategy & Activation Team. This team works collectively to ensure that we have a thorough understanding of and a pulse on the media landscape, make smart investments with media partners, negotiating mutually favorable terms, and plan and execute client media buys that best deliver on their business and marketing objectives.
ResponsibilitiesThe expectations for this role fall into 3 key categories:
1. Developing Teams & Talent
- Develop and manage team providing coaching and career development and that Supervisors are progressing in their roles.
- Reviews and supports goals of Supervisors.
2. Delivering on Our Value Proposition
- Own negotiations for assigned clients and campaigns.
- Manage relationships with vendors and communicating client needs throughout the campaign lifecycle.
- Develop new strategies for clients and manage level of client satisfaction to retain/grow business.
- Oversee day-to-day team negotiations.
3. Managing Business & Operations
- Manage team projects to ensure all client deliverables are being met (timelines, goals, budgets, etc.).
- Contributes to Strategy or Activation as needed for new business or high level accounts.
- Oversees campaign lifecycle, ensuring teams are following established workflow process and communication protocols.
- Manage billing and reconciliation and ensure team is meeting deadlines.
- Ability to troubleshoot and/or escalate when issue arises.
- Contribute to usage of tools and entry of data input.
Lead enforcement of Salesforce Hygiene across their direct team
QualificationsTECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
We value diversity of thought and experiences at APEX! If you learned about media from the sales or agency side, that’s great but we do need folks with advanced level of understanding of how media investment works.
- 6-9 years of experience with Advanced knowledge of media is critical for success in this role
- Diverse backgrounds and experience are welcome including Agency Planning/Investment, Media Sales, Consulting and/or Media Client Side
- Advanced knowledge of Salesforce and MS Office Suite (must be proficient in Excel)
- Strong media financial acumen is mandatory
- Business financial acumen is preferred
- Advanced understanding of the media landscape
