OverviewThe Media Planner, Social is responsible for developing all elements of a paid media plan including target audience, investment level by platform, measurement KPIs and paid placement recommendations. The Media Planner, Paid Social must be able to manage day-to-day agency media planning and analysis while maintaining strong relationships with publishers and partner agencies. This position does not include content development, community management or copy development.
Responsibilities- Assist in overarching paid social media strategy development for top tier clients.
- Determine appropriate audience selection, campaign investment by channel and measurement KPIs for client approval
- Work in conjunction with in-house social media buying team to optimize social buys and discuss insights with clients
- Manage social campaign budgets, including media authorizations and management of billing reconciliation process
- Interact daily and maintain rapport with digital media publishers and clients
- Develop and present concise results presentations highlighting campaign learnings and recommended campaign optimizations.
- Monitor and assess ongoing campaign performance; assist in strategic analysis of campaigns
- Build, review & monitor campaigns using the vendor platforms across various social media channels including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat and Reddit.
- Assist with social reporting needs, including developing insights for post campaign analysis
- Assist in developing half year tactical plans, ongoing media strategies & recommendations for campaigns
- Leverage past learnings to inform strategy & planning
- Attend and speak to most client meetings on ongoing basis
- Assist in training & providing direction to entry level teammates
- Maintain deep understanding of the social media ad landscape & platforms & be able to lead communication with clients & vendors
Qualifications- Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- 1+ year of experience in social media, advertising or related field
- Experience with various planning and campaign management/ad serving tools and technology (Nielsen, comScore, MRI, MediaTools, DCM)
- Experience with various social platforms a plus
- Experience analyzing data and market research
- Experience working inside of social buying platforms required.
- Intermediate Excel skills: comfort with pivot tables is a MUST.
- Experience in working with large datasets and performing quantitative analysis.
- Familiarity with basic accounting/ math principles; basic statistical analysis experience is a plus
- Must be a self-starter, with strong media agency planning and organizational skills
- Required PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to peers and clients
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues and vendors

Compensation Range: $46,500 - $67,500 annually.This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
