Job Summary:
We are seeking a top-tier Senior Paid Media Strategist to take full ownership of our YouTube Ads program. This hands-on role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in direct response-focused lead generation within industries characterized by long offline sales cycles. The ideal candidate will excel in both tactical execution and strategic development, driving channel growth through in-platform optimization, high-level strategy formulation, and a robust testing roadmap. You will collaborate cross-functionally with the website CRO team, sales team, and both internal and external creative resources to optimize the full marketing funnel and deliver exceptional performance.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- YouTube Ads Channel Ownership: Take full responsibility for the YouTube advertising channel, from hands-on in-platform optimization to strategic planning and execution.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive testing roadmap to drive channel growth and performance.
- Offline Conversion Tracking & Analytics: Manage Google Ads offline conversion tracking, addressing the unique challenges associated with YouTube.
- Understanding of how Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and/or Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA) can be leveraged to optimize YouTube ads beyond direct attribution.
- Work with Finance to leverage incrementality testing methods to optimize campaign effectiveness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the website CRO and Sales teams to monitor and optimize the full funnel.
- Collaborate with internal and external creative resources to develop direct-response focused ads that drive performance.
- Competitive Research & Strategy Development: Conduct thorough competitive analysis to understand industry trends and strategies on YouTube.
- Inform and adapt our approach to stay ahead in the market, driving strategic initiatives.
- Analytics and Reporting: Utilize Salesforce and Looker to track performance metrics, generate insights, and report on campaign effectiveness.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management.
- Candidates with experience communicating results to senior leadership teams are strongly preferred.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in YouTube advertising, focusing on direct response and lead generation in industries with long offline sales cycles (ideally in the Financial services industry).
- Must have experience working with large YouTube ads accounts that spend over $1MM/month on paid media.
- Certification in Google/YouTube Ads is preferred.
- Candidates who have experience working both in-house and at agencies are preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Expertise in YouTube Ads Platform: Deep understanding of YouTube advertising tools, strategies, and best practices.
- Proficient in tactical in-platform implementation and optimization.
- Proven track record of owning and scaling a YouTube Ads program.
- Analytical & Technical Proficiency: Candidates must have a very strong analytical background; including the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Understanding of Google Ads offline conversion tracking, MMM, MTA, and incrementality testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Looker, WordPress, SEMRush and tools like Surfer and Webflow is preferred.
- Strategic & Collaborative Mindset: Ability to develop high-level strategies while executing tactical plans.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including CRO, Sales, and creative resources.
- Skilled in conducting competitive research to inform and drive strategy.
- Experience communicating marketing strategy and results to senior leadership teams is preferred.

Compensation Information
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is 98,000-118,500.
