Responsibilities
- Contributes to the participation of PPC S.A. and its subsidiaries in the Greek short-term energy wholesale electricity markets of the Interconnected System (or other countries in which the company operates, if required), as well as in the corresponding markets of the Non-Interconnected Islands, where they exist, in accordance with the timings and all kinds of relevant provisions and regulations of the Markets based on the predefined strategy
- Prepares procedures that ensure the proper operation of the daily shift of short-term markets and prepares reports evaluating the efficiency of these processes
- Communicates with relevant business levels of the company to collect required data for the preparation of offers in the relevant short-term markets
- Supports the implementation of Directorate projects, actively participates in the testing of new systems and contributes to the consultation process on regulatory issues of energy markets
- Plans the operation of energy portfolios on a short-term rolling basis horizon (D-2, D-1) based on market simulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Master’s degree related to Energy Markets will be considered an additional qualification
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in managing distributed portfolios
- Experience in an energy management and/or energy trading company will be considered an additional qualification
- Certification of electricity energy trader in short-term markets
- Certification of energy futures energy trader will be considered an additional qualification
- Knowledge and use of Power BI and/or Power Automate and/or Python will be considered an additional qualification
- Good knowledge of the English language
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) & Internet
- Availability to work in flexible working hours
- Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact)
