Position Summary
As the Academic Technology and Media Coordinator, you will be the beacon guiding our students through their educational voyage. You'll maintain and nurture our Learning Resource Center, ensuring it serves as a hub of knowledge and support.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Student Success: You'll assist students in developing their study skills, time management, and academic prowess, setting them up for success in their healthcare careers.
- Community Building: You'll foster a sense of community by facilitating tutoring and advising appointments, connecting students with faculty, and introducing them to the Learning Resource Center during orientation.
- Driving Technological Excellence: Your expertise will shine as you maintain student-facing computers, manage software, and provide initial technical support. Your role is pivotal in ensuring our students have access to cutting-edge resources.
- Championing Continued Professional Development: You'll work closely with Program Directors to curate an evolving inventory of learning materials, promoting lifelong learning and growth.
- Collaborating for Excellence: You'll collaborate with IT professionals and academic departments to resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring a seamless learning experience for our students.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree preferred, with a preference for Education or IT backgrounds.
- Knowledge of library systems and procedures, showcasing your commitment to academic resources.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office products, demonstrating your tech-savviness.
- The ability to troubleshoot and communicate technical findings effectively to individuals with varying levels of expertise.
- A grasp of basic computer hardware and networking concepts, ensuring a smooth technology experience.
- Familiarity with online Learning Management Systems, with a preference for experience in Canvas.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as you'll be a pivotal point of contact for our students and associates.
- This role may require occasional after-hours or weekend work to ensure our students have access to the resources they need without disruption.
