About the Role
Ogilvy New York is searching for a Freelance Sr Analyst - someone who loves connecting social data with business results, to help steer the direction for our clients.
Hybrid, in our NYC office and open to immediate start.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of ongoing reporting and analysis focused on owned channels, earned media, and campaign performance.
- Develop holistic measurement plans that encompass social, influencer, and PR-driven content.
- Utilize deep social listening analysis to support cultural, consumer, and competitive research, develop insights, and identify earned media opportunities.
- Leverage audience-focused data to create detailed consumer profiles, informing targeting recommendations and content development.
- Continuously master third-party and proprietary data tools to enhance learning and optimization.
- Proactively advocate for the use of data and analytics resources to optimize work and deliver meaningful value.
- Contribute to thought leadership in Data & Analytics, helping to strengthen Ogilvy’s authority in Cultural Intelligence and effectiveness.
- Distill data analysis, findings, and recommendations into clear, impactful presentations for internal teams and clients, while engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including creative specialists, to develop data-informed work.
What You’ll Need
- Demonstrated experience in thinking strategically about complex business challenges and providing thoughtful recommendations and actions.
- 3+ years of agency experience in an analyst or intelligence role focused on Data & Analytics for social media and influencer strategy.
- Strong experience in using social listening tools (such as Meltwater, Quid, etc.) with Boolean logic and other advanced features to filter themes and topics.
- Proficient in using syndicated and social graph-based audience insights tools (such as GWI, MRI Simmons, Profiler by Synthesio, etc.).
- Experience working with third-party social analytics tools (Hootsuite, Sprinklr, etc.).
- Proven ability to independently and proactively learn technical skills, including certifications, bootcamps, and training.

The compensation for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Pay Range
$60,000—$140,000 USD
