ABOUT THE TEAM
The Senior Negotiator role will report into the Supervisor position and will be a part of the National Video Investment Team. This team works collectively to ensure that we have a thorough understanding of and a pulse on the media landscape, make smart investments with media partners, negotiating mutually favorable terms, and plan and execute client media buys that best deliver on their business and marketing objectives.
ResponsibilitiesABOUT THE ROLE
The expectations for this role fall into 3 key categories:
- Developing Teams & Talent
- Manages and contributes to training of Sr Associates/Associates on their team and billing/reconciliation team individuals.
- Develop content for new hire bootcamp.
- Reviews and supports goals of Negotiators/Specialist/Associates.
- Delivering on Our Value Proposition
- Collaborate with partners as company representative.
- Understands partner portfolio offerings and can identify client opportunities, participating in bringing forth proactive solutions to clients.
- Collaborate in negotiations for assigned clients and campaigns.
- First Touch QA for Senior Associate/Associate RFP work.
- Develop campaigns that partner with preferred partners.
- Understand fundamentals in negotiations.
- Managing Business & Operations
- Contribute to strategic execution & delivery.
- Owns RFP/post-sale process for select high-level accounts and can serve as first touch QA for Associates and Senior Associates.
- Begins to learn either Activation or Strategy (depending on background).
- Can execute process with minimal oversight and high degree of accuracy.
- Can troubleshoot minor issues and escalate when needed.
- Understand platform benefits.
- Oversees accuracy of data in OX/Prisma and Salesforce.
- Contributes to developing new tools and improving existing tools.
QualificationsTECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
We value diversity of thought and experiences at APEX! If you learned about media from the sales or agency side, that’s great but we do need folks with basic level of understanding of how media investment works.
- 3-5 years of experience with Basic knowledge of media is critical for success in this role
- Diverse backgrounds and experience are welcome including Agency Planning/Investment, Media Sales, Consulting and/or Media Client Side
- Basic knowledge of Salesforce and MS Office Suite (must be proficient in Excel)
- Strong media financial acumen is mandatory
- Business financial acumen is preferred
- Basic understanding of the media landscape
