OverviewThe Associate Director will work as a member of a small cross-functional team with ownership of shopper marketing and retail media strategy. They will be responsible for driving our client's growth with key retailers and retail platforms. The Associate Director must have a strong command of retailer specific campaign planning and buying ideally for a shopper marketing or eCommerce marketing client business.
The ideal candidate must have strong team management, and expert-level shopper marketing experience. Our team works across a diverse range of sectors on some of the largest and most dynamic clients within the agency. We are looking for an enthusiastic leader who is keen to submerge themselves into a number of projects.
Responsibilities- Work with shopper marketing teams and major retailers to drive sales goals with targeted media programs
- Plan and buy media campaigns on and off retailer environments
- Advise brand teams on retail oriented strategies and tactics to include in marketing plans
- Continuously learn various and evolving aspects of retail environment, industry trends, ad formats and new tools
- Lead the delivery of various media reporting to account teams and internal finance teams both on scheduled and ad hoc basis
- Coordinate daily client communication (email, calls, and multiple status per week)
- Build end-to-end ecommerce strategy and plans for the client
- Embrace and encourage a culture based on team work, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity
- Motivate, lead, and manage internal teams, working collaboratively to drive programs that meet our clients’ performance and business objectives
- Drive adoption of stated account management best practices through example setting, positive reinforcement and behavioral correction
- Conduct performance reviews and career path plans
- Provide training to direct reports as needed
- Facilitate the development and documentation of best practices for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the group
- Manage, lead, and mentor team
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred, preferably in marketing, advertising, business, engineering, statistics, economics, sociology, or equivalent
- 5+ years of related experience
- 2+ years of team management experience
- eCommerce media buying and planning experience is required
- Experience with Amazon Marketing Services (AMS) Paid Search/Sponsored Product Listings and Amazon Media Group (AMG) services
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint as well as other equivalent programs and as appropriate specific industry tools and technology
- A proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects effectively and work well under pressure to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with the ability to think unconventionally in proposing solutions

Compensation Range: $91,000- $144,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
