Job Title
A Demand Generation/Inside Sales Team Leader at Ribbon Communications is responsible for developing and executing strategies to generate leads and drive revenue growth along with overseeing the inside sales team. Additional duties include developing, mentoring, and training the existing team for sales development.
Current team is comprised of 6 people and will expand in 2025. This role will be based in our Plano, TX office.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement demand generation and sales strategies: Create and manage campaigns to generate leads and drive revenue.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams: Align efforts to ensure cohesive and effective demand generation activities.
- Analyze data, performance, and sales metrics: Use analytics to measure and improve the effectiveness of demand generation efforts.
- Track and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage relationships: Work with partners, influencers, and other stakeholders to enhance demand generation initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends: Stay updated on new technologies and techniques to keep strategies current and effective.
- Budget management: Create and manage budgets for demand generation activities.
- Lead and manage the inside sales team: Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure the team meets sales targets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies: Create effective sales plans to drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain customer relationships: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with marketing, product development, field sales, and customer support to align sales strategies with company goals.
- Recruit and train new sales personnel: Ensure the team is well-equipped to meet demand generation and sales objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales leadership: Demonstrated success in managing and leading a sales team.
- Experience in demand generation: Proven track record in developing and implementing successful demand generation strategies.
- Strong communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Analytical skills: Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions.
- Customer-focused: Strong understanding of customer needs and how to meet them.
- Proficiency with marketing automation and CRM software: Experience using sales tools and CRM systems to manage customer relationships and sales processes.
- Collaboration skills: Ability to work effectively with sales, marketing, and other departments.
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve challenges within the demand generation process.
- Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
